Draw the Sounds－Giant was conceived based on Spanish Romanticist painter Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes’ painting, The Collossus. The Collossus comes in three installments. They are all symbolisms of the ugliness of the everyday nightmare, wickedness and war in his times.
Having witnessed the frequent outbreaks of gigantic events, such as 911 and the Jasmine revolution, over the last ten years, the artist uses sound as both the color brush and outliner to re-represent many of Goya’s imaginary giants, and does that as a way to pay condolences to wartime victims.
