“Walking machine #4” is a work based on the draft drawn by the Russian mathematician Pafnuty Lvovich Chebyshev about a hundred years ago. The artist received the draft from an American artist when he participated in an artist-in-residence program in San Francisco. The work is created and completed in Taiwan after the artist’s further research. The components of this work are mobile. In addition, the artist tries to represent the communication of “ideas” among people through the process of data transmission and sharing. Similarly, the artist also hopes to present the draft on which the research and making of this work are based.
