Soma Mapping II : Germany

Artist:Zhan,Jia-Hua

“Soma Mapping II : Germany” is continued in “Soma Mapping”, and the interactive installation is separated from the three parts:The first level describes the cultural awareness and physical behavior. I will record the video that interview the Germany about some issues of body. Moreover, I will record video they interact with the installation. It will intersperse with the other video. Using the video not only talk about the issues body, but also reproduce their digital body. The video use elements of the device, and attempts to combine the cultural awareness and physical behavior. Further, it make an reflect question for the audience.

The second level is a spindle of this interactive installation, and use features to generate audience participation. The inspiration originates from Futurism such as the paint of Nude Descending a Staircase. Futuristic scientists propose that paints be recoded behavior and continuous images. It seems that people link to environment. The interactive way use body to control the image of installation. Moreover, the body image is changed by people moving image, and it like the sketch image. The artwork utilized this unique Futurism art, and expands it into working in accordance with the movements by people.

The third level emphasize that digital body can be control and change. The concept is that thinking of audience can separate from their body by using media. Thinking will leave the real body into virtual world. As if thinking will become digital body. Then it will present the virtual world with others. In addition, it will show the relationship between person, space and society.
