AnimA 2012 continues last year’s curatorial spirit, yet extends to a greater scale of works. This time, not only works from international film festivals are invited, stylistic pieces from Chinese filmmakers are also showed. In animation technology, there is traditional hand-drawing, puppet, cut-out and 3D computer animation; all of them are techniques used throughout animation history. AnimA 2012 gathers the creative energy and spirit form all over the world; the works are divided into 4 different genres including Best of 2012 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Best of 2012 Ottawa International Animation Festival, Artificial Nature and Chinese on Focus: Best Selection from Chinese Filmmakers.
