Hung, Shih-Ting 【VIOLA: The Traveling Rooms of a Little Giant】

This artwork describes a little girl VIOLA (named after William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night) and her little surreal voyage. When she is little, she embarks on a lonesome journey in order to seek what connects to her soul. During the journey, what we see is not a real world, but the world that is seen through her eyes: what they sound like, what colors they are, and how they look like. Together with VIOLA, the viewers experience her interpretation of noisy elementary school classmates as flamingos, and then being drawn into an amazing adventure on the moving chairs and stairs into the sky. By flying across the clouds stepping into different rooms and spaces, a quiet and yet unique journey has begun.
