Wang Lien-Cheng 【Electric Position】

The conception of this artwork originates from the flash of light and sound of an electric swatter killing a mosquito. I remember that when I was little, I used to go to my grandparents’ home where there were a lot of mosquitoes biting my legs. The experience was painful; nevertheless, I was delighted whenever I heard the electric mosquito trap electrocuting mosquitoes. So, I scaled up this delightful feeling into a much bigger electrical current.But I found that people are still showing fear of electrical current while enjoying it. I am interested in exploring people’s mental perception and physical action in such situation.
