The Reflection of Bamboo
The Reflection of Bamboo is an interactive device created by bamboo. The idea of its appearance comes from traditional bamboo lanterns. We present two elements, newness and oldness, via technological and innovative manners, not only allowing visitors to experience visual perception from different dimensions but also, at the same time, keeping the affection between technology and tradition tender and balanced.
As visitors trigger the infrared sensing device while walking, the motor will turn on to pull bamboo materials and make them bending and becoming the shape of bamboo lantern. It can not only completely project changing light and shadow effects but also present the unique tenacity bamboo possesses.
It dynamically simulates and presents bamboo’s bearing that swings with the wind in the natural environment, delivers vitality via changing curves, and interacts with the relationship built among light and shadow, space, and visitors. By this way, visitors will interact with the aesthetics endowed from the integration of tradition and innovation, interacting with the production on the spot as if talking with tradition in person, and the life and soul of the traditional feat will also be extended via the unique way.
