創辦理念：
魔幻動畫展的「華人動畫精選輯」自2012年設置以來 ，以主題策展的方式，提供了參訪觀眾欣賞華人傑出動畫短片的機會，以觀摩台灣、大陸與海外華人創作者，對於動畫創作的當代思惟與視野。今年，經過籌備委員的深入討論，決定開始設置獎項，以實質的獎金與獎狀，鼓勵海峽兩岸與海外華人的獨立創作精神與動畫美學創意。動畫藝術百年來風潮日益狀闊，華人動畫的成績絕對值得令人期待！
第一屆共有來自台灣、中國、澳門、馬來西亞、歐美等九十二件學生及專業人士作品參展，初選出二十三部影片，規劃成兩個節目。其創意敘事及動畫技術多樣性令人期待！

2014 1st AnimA Awards
Since the inception of the Chinese Animation Film Collection in 2012, it has, in a thematic curating manner, provided the visitors with great opportunities to admire outstanding Chinese animation shorts. The collection has also demonstrated the contemporary thoughts and perspectives of Chinese creators about animation creation. This year, the preparatory committee decided to establish awards and grants to encourage worldwide Chinese animation creators to show their spirit of independent creation and creativity in animation aesthetics. The field of animation has undergone a century's development and is increasingly prospering. Therefore, the future of Chinese animation is definitely promising.
There are 92 titles from students and professionals of Taiwan, China, Macau, Malaysia, Europe and America participating 1st Anima award. 23 shorts are selected for the final with two screening programs. Their creative storytelling and diversity of animation techniques are surprising!
