“The Drawer of Memory”, my first 3D animation short film, took me a year to finish it. The story is about an old woman with a drawer on her body. This drawer is full of the memory of her passed husband. She misses her husband so much. For this reason, she puts things into the drawer every day to look for the shadow of him.

This film won over ten international festivals and was screened in many different countries. The animation short also made me determine to become an animation director in the future.

Artist Introduction

The artist has two MFA degrees. One of the MFA degrees is in animation at UCLA in America. He always puts emphasis on storytelling in his films and tries to express his own view point of explaining this world. Director Chi is also an award-winner as an independent filmmaker. His first 3D animation film, “ The Drawer of Memory” (2006), has won lots of honors and was screening in many different countries, such as German, Japan, China, U.S.A, Korea, and France. 2006 Com Graph the 7 ^th Asia Pacific Digital Art and Animation Competition Gold Award, The 12 ^th DMS’ Conference Competition in Multimedia Arts The First Prize Winner, The 4 ^th Taiwan International Animation Festival Creative Graphics Gold Prize. 2007 The 29 ^th Golden Harvest Awards for Film and Digital Video The Excellent Prize.
