Today’s society has been more liberal on gender consciousness than before, and some countries have also admitted gay marriage. There are lots of voices standing for gender equity and transgender surgery in the society, but the people tending to be conservative are still the majority, holding a deep-rooted stereotype on gender. Under the pressure and public opinion in the society, transgender people are usually unable to live their own lives.
On the basis of personal experiences, this animation tells about a girl’s mood transition. Since the girl found herself have the personality of another gender, she kept repressed under external criticisms, but finally accepted herself and had the courage to express her own opinions. The external repression is set to come from the girl’s admired male. The male represents traditional society’s stereotype on gender. He highly expects his girlfriend to be a perfect girl and thereby imposes his own thoughts on the girl who has some transgender signs.
Everyone should respect and appreciate transgender people who have the courage to be themselves with different personalities as individuals, and understand that everyone in the society is a unique individual.
