In a bustling market, there used to be several swing cars, making sounds all the time every day. The sound of the swing cars is the trademark of the market. But the entry of a big syndicate made stores close down one after another, and swing cars also thereby became fewer and fewer. The market is where I grew up. I stay in the market longer than staying home every day. Consequently, I have some feelings toward the previous market. Growing up here little by little, I was ignorant. Not until waking up some day did I find my beloved place actually changing slowly and being swallowed up by a big syndicate. To me, swing car is the declining process of this market.

The children in the past spent NT$10 on swing cars for fun, feeling happy from it. Now, I spend NT$10 for reviewing the then bustling atmosphere of the market, but that has been no longer retrievable. Only the swinging structures remain on the swing cars, and the market’s bustling sound atmosphere also become dim. It is the outcome that the big syndicate hectors the small stores, and which will never go back to the past.
