About the Freedom of Wind

“About the Freedom of Wind” is one of the To My Beloved Blind Girl series of works. The story says: A mute falls in love with a blind girl. But the mute cannot speak, and the blind girl cannot see. Neither of them is able to express the love. To My Beloved Blind Girl is a special love letter, written by all the senses sound, smell and touch. The mute wants to tell the blind girl his love to her through everything in this world. In “About the Freedom of Wind,” sound is used for writing this love letter, of which the idea came from the first harmonica the mute owned. The mute said that the sound of harmonicas is closest to the wind and that is the sound of freedom.

No matter consciously or unconsciously, people would show sympathy more or less from the subconscious when facing a disabled person. In terms of the most direct emotion, this kind of sympathy is unequal. This series of works tries to understand whether the respect and touch given by the people entering the emotion world of the disabled from the angle of love will be the most direct and equal.
