Ina-GRM X DAC: France-Taiwan Exchange Project on Pioneering Electronic Music
This exhibition area introduces GRMplayer, the state-of-the-art composing instrument for electronic music developed by GRM. GRMplayer has powerful functions and a user-friendly interface, which allows the visitors to adjust the echoes or sample the sounds they want by touching the screen with their fingers. In other words, the visitors may create electronic music in real time at the exhibition venue. The Digital Art Foundation expects to promote the creation of electronic music in Taiwan by seizing the golden opportunity of this exchange project. It therefore invites GRM to present the latest version of GRMplayer at 2015 Digital Art Festival Taipei. This display allows the visitors to improvise electronic music during the festival, and thereby embodies the ideal of “everyone is a composer!”
Lecture: An Encounter with Daniel Teruggi, a French Maestro of Electronic Music and Sound Art
The Concert staged by Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM)
As an affiliation of L’Institut national de l’audiovisuel (National Institute of Audio-visual Documentation), GRM is not only a pioneering organization that aims at exploring electronic music and concrete music but also a specialized institution that focuses on the research of experimental sound.
In collaboration with GRM’s director Daniel Teruggi, the Digital Art Center Taipei (hereafter referred to as DAC) invites GRM’s iconic experimental music composers to present their magna opuses at 2015 Digital Art Festival Taipei.

New-Generation Electronic Sound Art: The concert of the award-winning entries of the France-Taiwan Electronic Music Composition Contest
This contest proceeded in two rounds of evaluation by international jury, after which twelve award-winners were selected. The winners were offered with eight touring concerts and the broadcasting by French National Radio Station in 2015, which allows them to present their works on the international stage. 2015 Digital Art Festival Taipei is the final stop of the touring concert of these award-winning entries. We cordially welcome the public to attend this rare event of new-generation electronic sound art.
