ChoirMob

‘ChoirMob’ is a new singing-synthesis application for mobile devices that seeks to capture the experience of a choir and bring it into the mobile space. This platform relies on three pervasive technologies that each support a different part of the musical experience: 1) the mobile device application for performing with an artificial voice, 2) a place where a central conducting application is running on a local interactive display, and 3) a network protocol to synchronize the two. Visitors can perform music via ‘ChoirMob’ together at any location where they can connect to a central conducting device. The result is a musical experience that is social, intimate, and engaging.
