What makes the gods in the cloud fall?
The streets on the whole way are full of towers and the small old temple is outstanding. Unfortunately, no one concern about the small old temple. The gods in the small old temple hope the temple could be attracted by people while seeing this condition. Therefore, they tear down the small old temple and start to proceed with a large transforming plan.
The presenting medium of this story was operated reversely. Due to the phenomenon of urbanization in the modern society, the population was denser and more high buildings were constructed. It has brought us more convenience but also many problems. We selected one of the most commonly seen questions: “Should old architectures be eliminated?” as the story’s starting point, subcategorized traditional architectures, and finally chose temple as the leading role which conflicts with the modern architectures. Telling stories and performing with the roles of celestial beings in temples is blended with the contrasts created between fantasy and social realism, high buildings and old architectures, times and times, and reality and fantasy. These contrasts enhance the story’s appeal to produce more care and thoughts to achieve our goal. The story is presented with relaxed and humorous medium in appearance while the serious modern problems are discussed in depth. The movie scenes were mainly produced with 3D but kept with 2D cartoon style. The boundary between 2D and 3D was blurred in order to reduce the digital sense of 3D. After inspecting a lot of internal and external architectural scenes, architectures and objects were shaped and designed into the cartoon style which belongs to this movie – presented with flourishing scene colors, trying to build a kind of special visual style.
