主角出生在中國的一個小鎮上。他從小學開始就跟著在北京工作的父母生活。但是因為戶籍仍然留在出生的小鎮上，導致他不能在北京參加高考。於是無奈之下只好回到小鎮讀高中，和奶奶住在一起，相依為命。在這期間發生了一些事，令他深刻感受來自奶奶的親情和關懷。 高考時奶奶意外病倒，主角面臨著重大的抉擇。他是應該趕回醫院見奶奶最後一面，還是爲了自己的前途留在考場上？

The protagonist was born in a village in mainland China. He lives with his parents who work in Beijing since his elementary school years. But due to his census is still remain registered in the village where he was born, he cannot attend the college entrance examination in Beijing. And the examination paper in Beijing is different from the province where his census is located. He cannot do anything but move back to the high school in the village, live with his grandmother. Something occurs during this period and makes him feel the kinship and concern from his grandmother. When he is in the exam, his grandmother unexpectedly became ill. He is facing great decision: go back to the hospital to meet her the last time, or stay in the exam hall for his own future?

Huang, Han-Jie, born in mainland China in 1983. He has been learning printing since he was a child, having great enthusiasm in animation and film. He became the first student from mainland China at National Taiwan University of Art in 2011 and graduated from the master program of Animation Art, Department of Multimedia and Animation Arts.

He focuses on both commercial and artistic aspect of his work, pursues the visual effects, action scenes in the films, and expects to produce attractive films; at the same time he strives to keep the precision and fluency of the narrative structure, and depth and thought of the topic, expecting the film not to fall into cliché and shallowness.
